The Philippines government has said that its nationals are now officially permitted to work in Libya, lifting a ban in place since February 2011.

The Libyan Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Mustafa Alrujbani, and his Sudanese counterpart Faraj Abdullah signed on 24 March a memorandum of understanding covering work and rehabilitation, education, healthcare, scientific research and investment.
