FAQs
When was Libya Monitor launched?
The site was originally called The Libya Report and was launched in May 2012. In October 2013 we rebranded and relaunched the site as Libya Monitor. It is owned and managed by Frontier, a UK-based company that was established in 2008.
Are you linked to any other organisations or governments?
No. Libya Monitor is wholly independent, privately-owned, and its management have no links to any religious, social or political organisations in Libya or overseas.
How can we get full access to the content on Libya Monitor?
Our full content is accessible through a paid subscription, available on a yearly or six-month basis, or alternatively you can purchase news and tenders on a weekly basis.
Why should I buy a subscription?
A subscription to the Libya Monitor is an invaluable tool to help you to find clients or suppliers in Libya, identify potential business partners, monitor developments in a particular sector, conduct market research, monitor new tenders and navigate the business landscape in Libya.
How much does it cost?
Subscription costs are as follows:
Annual single-user license | £650 (LD1,300) |
6-month single-user license | £450 (LD900) |
Additional user | £120 (LD240) |

These costs do not include VAT, which will be added where applicable.

What is your weekly newsletter?
Our free weekly brief is published on Mondays and sent to our mailing list in Libya and overseas. It contains headlines of all the week's main news stories, plus that week's new tenders and upcoming events listings. To receive the newsletter, simply Register your details with us.
Our weekly content is available to purchase: please see our Newsletters section for past content.
Do you cover Libyan politics or social issues?
Only if they relate specifically to the economy and the business environment.
What do 'ARCHIVE' news articles mean?
These refer to articles that we published in our previous news briefings between 2009 and February 2011.
What information is included in the company directory?
We add as much information as possible for each company, and in each case we check the details with the company. The vast majority of company profiles include an address, phone and fax numbers, website, an outline of products and services, the names of companies represented in Libya, and the name of a General Manager or equivalent. The profiles of some larger Libyan companies may include financial statements or details on assets, number of employees, oilfields under management, parent companies, and a brief background.
Many local and foreign companies have not yet resumed full operations in Libya following the 2011 conflict, meaning that details are subject to change. Similarly, the future of many government companies, bodies and funds remains unclear.
Our Libya company directory is continually being expanded and updated. If you would like to make your company profile available to our subscribers, then please fill in this form.
Is your editorial content influenced by advertising?
No, our business model is subscription-based and we provide unbiased content to our readers. We may feature advertising on our website or in our newsletter, but this does not influence our editorial content.
What if I need more detailed research?
