Representatives from the GPC of Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation held meetings in Tripoli with a delegation from the Chilean Foreign Ministry on 24 January to discuss relations, Al Jamahiriya reported.

GPC Secretary Al Baghdadi Ali Al Mahmoudi held meetings with Guinean President Alpha Condé and his delegation in Tripoli on 25 January to discuss bilateral relations in a numbers of areas, Al Jamahiriya reported.

On 23 January a delegation of Libyan officials visited Nouakchott, the Mauritanian capital, to discuss investment in several projects, PANA reported.

The Ports and Maritime Transport Authority has signed a $28m deal with Ireland-based Transas to buy a vehicle traffic management system (VTMS) for Libya’s coastal areas.

Libyan Prime Minister Al Baghdadi Ali al Mahmoudi said on 8 August that Libya would donate $80m to Mauritania for a range of education and health projects in the country.
